Why are the PNGs so much larger than the HEIC files?
HEIC uses very efficient lossy compression and PNG is lossless, so a 2 MB HEIC can easily turn into a 10–20 MB PNG. That's normal – it means no detail was thrown away.
Will PNG make my HEIC photo look better?
