Will WebP to PNG cost me quality?

No. PNG is lossless, so you get an exact copy of the decoded WebP. It can't recover detail lost when the WebP was made, but it adds no new loss.

Why is the PNG larger than the WebP was?

WebP compresses far more efficiently than PNG, so PNGs are usually bigger. That's expected from a lossless format.

Do my files get uploaded anywhere?

Never. The work is done by JavaScript running in your own browser, on your own device. Nothing is sent to a server or kept anywhere, which makes it safe for personal photos and sensitive data – and it carries on working even on a patchy connection.

How many images can I convert, and how big can they be?
